Nominate

Nominate a local business or entrepreneur for an Orillia & District Chamber of Commerce Business Achievement Award. To be eligible for an award, a business or individual must operate in or be based out of the area of Orillia and Lake Country area (including the City of Orillia, Township of Ramara, Township of Severn, Chippewas of Rama First Nation, and Township of Oro-Medonte). Nominations must be received by the deadline and nominees must complete an entry submission to be considered for an award. Recipients are selected by a panel of volunteer judges based on the information included in their entry submission.

How it works:

1. Submit a nomination using the form (click "Nominate Now" above)

2. The nominee will receive an email notifying them of their nomination and directing them to fill out an entry submission form.  Judges will base their scores on the information provided in the entry submission, so it is imperative to ensure that the form is filled out accurately and completely.

3. Entry submissions received by the deadline will be included in judging.

4. Finalists will be notified by email at least two weeks prior to the award ceremony,

5. Awards will be presented at the ceremony on February 26, 2025

Tips and FAQs:

• Even if you are nominating your own business, you need to complete both a nomination form and an entry submission. You will not receive a link to the entry submission unless you submit a nomination, and your nomination will not be considered by judges unless you complete the entry submission as well. 
• It is not necessary to go into detail on the nomination form as this will not be considered during judging. Judging is based on the entry submission, so include details there.
• Don't hesitate to nominate yourself or your own business! Self-nomination is permitted and encouraged, and most of the nominations we receive are self-nominations.
• Save the date for the ceremony on February 26, 2025. There is no charge for nominees to attend.
