Walk This Way to Open Doors for Women

We are excited to invite you to join our second annual Walk This Way to Open Doors for Women fundraising event! Walk This Way helps us to raise awareness and let victims of violence know that Green Haven Shelter for Women is here to assist them as they transition out of abusive situations. We want the community to know that we stand beside them, their families, neighbours, clients, colleagues, and anyone they know or love who is a survivor of violence. Our walk is an opportunity for the community to come together and to say, “We will not stand for violence against women in Simcoe County!” And we want you to be there right beside us, walking alongside survivors of violence and letting them know that they are not in this alone. Come together with your friends and family this October 7th and join us at Couchiching Beach Park in Orillia and stand in solidarity with survivors of violence. Join individually, as small teams, or as large teams to raise your voices and raise awareness. All proceeds from this event go directly towards the cost of the event, with remaining funds supporting Green Haven Shelter for Women’s programs and services.
